FIL Lisbon event environment

Overview

FIL Lisbon was Filecoin Foundation’s own community conference, running in parallel with Web Summit 2022 — timed to capture the energy of the world’s largest tech event while offering the Filecoin ecosystem a dedicated space to connect, hear from builders, and engage with the project’s direction. The challenge was producing an event identity that felt as polished as the conferences it was running alongside, on an in-house creative budget and timeline.

Approach

Creative direction spanned the full event: brand environment, stage design, signage, wayfinding, and all event collateral. The visual language needed to work hard — communicating both community warmth and technical credibility to a developer-heavy audience. Motion direction for the recap video followed the same approach as other FIL events: briefing the motion team on narrative structure, tone and pacing, then reviewing cuts to shape the final output.

Outcomes

FIL Lisbon established a template for how Filecoin Foundation could run high-quality community events at scale — distinct from conference booth activations, with its own identity and production standards. The recap video served as both documentation and organic social content, extending the event’s reach across the Filecoin community long after the conference week ended.
